Goal(s) of Discussion: President Donald Trump’s core belief that the U.S. can make better trade deals is about to be put to the test. If he’s right, Americans will win. If he is wrong, a harmful trade war looms.
Goal(s) of Discussion: Congress proved that they can reach bipartisan agreement on spending which increases the federal deficit. Now, they must do the harder part and reach bipartisan agreement to reduce the deficit.
Goal(s) of Discussion: A politicized FBI is a threat to our cherished freedoms. It’s happened before. It can happen again. Congress must play a constructive role in making sure the FBI is non-partisan.
Goal(s) of Discussion: Don’t be fooled by magic sounding terms like “public-private partnerships.” It all comes down to us paying more in taxes, tolls and fees or simply adding the cost to our state and federal debt.
Goal(s) of Discussion: Republicans are searching frantically for a reason to justify massive tax cuts. But alas, in 2017, tax cuts are a solution in search of a problem. Congress should do something useful instead.
